Summary

Description

English : Titanium-Sapphire laser in use. The green pump laser creates a population inversion in the crystal, wich is a 4-level amplifying medium emitting in the near infrared (~800nm). This KMLabs oscillator generates pulses of <20fs duration, at a 80MHz repetition rate, for an average power of 430mW with a 5W Millennia pump laser. A close-up of the crystal is available, see Image:TiSa crystal.jpg.
